Narcotics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who have all suffered from drug addiction at some point in their lives. Now we have come together in our sobriety. We believe that any addict can quit using; they just have to want to.
We hope to have an atmosphere that makes people comfortable enough to share. There are common problems and standard solutions that can be hard to find otherwise. Talking to people who truly understand you can help along your recovery.
It is hard to stay clean if you don’t have support. Narcotics Anonymous of Little Italy will give you that support you need.
We meet regularly to help each other stay clean. That can mean daily or weekly. It is essential to keep going to meetings until you have a real handle on your life. That is because free time equals time you can get into trouble. Being busy and occupied is the best way to stay away from drugs.
Keeping an open mind is an important part of Narcotics Anonymous. These means don’t judge yourself or others too harshly. We all make mistakes, and we learn and grow from them.
We do not affiliate with other groups, and we are a nonprofit. We don’t seek money at any point for any reason, that is a part of our rules. We do not discriminate based on age, gender, race, sexuality, religion or anything else. Narcotics Anonymous preaches acceptance, and we mean it.
It doesn’t matter to us what drug you used or how much or what you may have been a part of. What matters now is who you want to be and what you are doing with your life. Our goal is to see you succeed in recovery.
All of us have walked a different path. Now we are trying to stay on the right one.
